Swimming Pool Extension Staffordshire
bi Design was recommended by our client’s chosen builder, to develop their previous Architects design for their large two-storey extension and oak framed swimming pool extension, through to the building regulations stage so he could make a start.
During early discussions the existing design and layout was changed, to ensure it met the clients brief and made the best use of the spaces, and how they wanted to live in the property when the work was completed.
The spaces were reworked to create a better flow and interaction between the main living spaces and the swimming pool, in particular allowing the clients to see their new pool from the kitchen breakfast room.
Using virtual reality (VR), we were able to clearly demonstrate to the client how the spaces would work and leave very little to their imagination so that when built they knew exactly what they would be getting. The project is a significant investment in the property, so it is imperative the design has no compromises, the VR is a great help in reducing any doubt about the desired outcome being achieved.
bi Design successfully achieved planning permission for the amended scheme and has worked closely with Welsh Oak, the structural engineer, and pool specialists to develop the design through the building regulations stage, and create detailed technical drawings for the builder.
Subsequently, bi Design will monitor the work on-site to provide technical advice and support to the builder.
